The Oswells

Canada Day is indeed a day for celebration. The plants are finally delivered! Now all I have to do is find room for the left over ugly ones in my garden. It's not that they are ugly really, it's just that they are not red and white. One colour is flowering like crazy and the other is sitting there being a dud. Next year if I do Petunias it will be 'fantasy' petunias only. Nice small compact plants with cute little flowers. The double whites I used were a disaster. Great big leggy plants with huge heavy flowers. They should look good in the garden. I am thinking that next year I should plant begonia tubers. The only major problem I see is that I will have to start babysitting them in February.

On another topic - Brian is the proud owner of a new house. At least he will be on July 13th. Then at the beginning of August he puts the one he is living in on the market. He will just be a few blocks away - two doors down from where we lived when we first moved back to Kamloops 22 or so years ago.

Brian is having a bad day today. He has clients in town from Kelowna. They came prepared to buy a house and there is nothing to buy. All the houses they were interested in sold in the last couple days. It's no wonder our prices keep going up.
