Sometimes nothing is smooth

Submitted by Betty on Thu, 2007-07-26 16:25.

Sometimes everything goes well and smoothly, and sometimes it doesn't.

I have just discovered that one of our clients, whose property closes at the end of this month, has brain cancer. He has been told that he only has a year to live. He seems very good with this information. I feel like I am more upset than him, and I have never even met him in person, altho I have had a lot of telephone conversations with him. He can't sign the papers for his property transfer because he will be at the cancer clinic. I know we can find a way to deal with this, but right now I am not sure what it is. This whole deal has gone this way. The property is jointly owned by two elderly brothers, one who lives in Revelstoke and one in the lower mainland. One of them is tecnologically not in this day and age and so we have to fax his contracts to the pharmasave, where he picks them up and signs them and faxes them back. The whole deal  has been a mess of lost faxes telephone calls and mis-signed contracts. So really, what is one more glitch?
