We did it again - went fishing that is - had four wonderful days in Calgary drifting the Bow River. There is nothing like floating a dry fly along the bank and fooling some fish (preferably big fish) into thinking it is dinner.

Brian took time off from getting his house ready to sell to look after business for us. We are so lucky to be able to just duck out for a few days without worrying about anything. His house on Tranquille Rd. is just about ready to put on the market. There is less than two weeks work left. He just built a gorgeous fence and had the roof redone. Mostly now he needs to clean.

Our next trip will be to try for greyling in the Anzac River in September sometime.

The only glitch to getting back to work was having to do an unexpected open house. The newspaper ran the open house ad from the previous week so we ended up having to hold an open house on Sunday that we hadn't planned for.

It seems that the world around us is slowing down, but Kamloops is still plowing ahead. We have clients in Alberta and at the lower mainland who are waiting to sell their house there before moving here. Last year that would have been no problem, but this year both their markets are much slower. The economy here is so good. I guess that would explain why so many people are moving here.
